Disney Off the Beaten Path: Ukulele Lessons at the Poly

Yesterday we were over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort for the Experiment 626 cone and stumbled onto something pretty cool.

You can learn to play the ukulele right there in the lobby of the Polynesian!! These things always change so check the schedule – but we found it there in the Poly lobby at 1:00 p.m. on a Wednesday afternoon.

My younger son has been begging to learn for ages so they were beyond excited.

Ashton the teacher was Disney-level amazing – and in just 30 minutes we’d learned the cords to somewhere over the rainbow.

These are the kinds of unplanned, off the beaten path experiences that are what makes Disney magic a reality for us. Totally free, totally unplanned, and totally amazing.

Who knows? I might even cut my nails for next time. 😉

Have you ever picked up a ukulele? Or stumbled on an unplanned bit of magic at your Walt Disney World resort?
