Morimoto Asia’s Sakura Festival – Rosé All Day

Yesterday we had the pleasure of heading to Disney Springs to attend the first event of Morimoto Asia’s Sakura Festival – a month-long celebration of the arrival of spring and its beloved cherry blossoms (or “sakura” in Japanese).

From March 15th – April 15th, Morimoto Asia will be decorated beautifully to showcase the pink blooms of the cherry blossom. Special blossom-inspired menu items also will be on the menu daily and guests can choose to attend a series of ticketed events.

The first of these was yesterday’s Rosé All Day – an afternoon of unlimited rosé, sake, and incredible food that was ours for the enjoying from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. for the unbelievable ticket price of $55. Talk about an incredible value – especially in a place where I could easily drop as much on hot dogs and chips for myself and my kids during an afternoon in the park.

Perhaps most wonderful about these events is that they not only serve up delicious food and drink – but also manage to do so in a way that syncs with Japan’s time-honored tradition of making their food a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds.

From these to-die-for scallops…

To this wagyu and peking duck…

To these lovely little terrarium-esque servings of octopus and shrimp…

But the real stand out item of the day was, of course, the sushi. I’m still daydreaming about this tuna and yellowtail and salmon and the way that it melted in my mouth.

And not to be left wanting dessert, we finished off the afternoon with these dippable bananas foster-style spring rolls.

I continue to be wowed by each and every Patina Group event – from these afternoons at Morimoto Asia to the various parties at The Edison and Maria and Enzo’s Ristorante and more.

You can find – and score tickets to – the remainder of Morimoto Asia’s Sakura Festival events at this link. I hope to see you there!!
