No one does the holidays quite like the Grand Floridian – and Easter is no exception to that rule.
I cannot urge you enough to visit the Grand Floridian between now and April 28th if you can. The Easter Egg display – made entirely of chocolate and other edible sweets and created by their bakery team over the course of 3 weeks – is a sight to behold.
And the seasonal treats at Gasparilla Island Grill are some of the best on property. The Spring Cupcake, available through May 31, is a mimosa-flavored vanilla cupcake topped with buttercream spring flowers and filled with orange-scented custard, Champagne-flavored extract, and a splash of orange liqueur.
And the blueberry lemon cupcake is simpler but no less wonderful. In fact it might be my favorite.
And while you’re there – take note of the temporary orchestra stage now on the lobby floor while they make the announced changes to Mizner’s Lounge. I’m looking forward to seeing them play on the ground level!
