According to Disney Parks Blog, a phased reopening of Disney Springs will begin on May 20, 2020. A limited number of third party shopping and dining experiences will begin to open during this initial phase. This gradual reopening will incorporate enhanced safety measures, including increased cleaning procedures, the use of appropriate face coverings by both Cast Members and guests, limited-contact guest services, and additional Cast Member safety training.
During the initial opening phase, Disney Springs will have limitations on capacity, parking and operating hours.
Disney is also in talks with its unions as they prepare for some Cast Members to return to work, but at present the rest of Walt Disney World Resort outside of Disney Springs will remain closed, including theme parks and resort hotels.
