Disney Holidays: Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays 2019

Another Food & Wine Festival is coming to an end – but don’t dispair, because when that door closes, a wreath bedecked door opens!! Epcot’s International Festival of the Holidays runs this year from November 29th – December 30th, and it’s most definitely the most wonderful time of the year.

I had the opportunity to check out everything that Epcot has to offer this holiday season and couldn’t wait to share it all with you!

Food

I love the more manageable number of booths that we find at Festival of the Holidays. And in my family, celebrations mean food. So the ability to walk around World Showcase Lagoon and sample holiday offerings from all over the globe is pretty amazing.

The schnitzel in Germany is wonderful. And while L’Chaim is *not* bringing back the potato knish this year (::sob::), they are offering TWO latke options – one served up with just sour cream. The other piled high with smoked salmon (aka lox), sour cream, capers, and other goodies.

The soup and pretzel roll over at the Yukon booth is to die for.

And the cookie stroll is back and better than ever. The black & white cookie over at L’Chaim is back again as a part of it – and a vegan option this time around. We all know it might not have been my favorite offering last year…so we’ll see if that’s different this time around. When you’ve had the others, the Mickey Santa cookie is the “prize”.

Drinks

You’ll have the chance to grab chocolate peppermint shakes and eggnog with or without the spike. Wines. Ice wines. And lots more.

Entertainment

The crown jewel of the holidays in Walt Disney World is and will always be the Candlelight Processional. It’s back again this year with lots of returning favorites, like Neil Patrick Harris, and some new hosts, like Lisa Ling.

Joyful will be back again – this time by the tree at the intersection of World Showcase and Future World.

And you’ll of course find wonderful storytellers from around the globe. Everyone from Père Nöel to Father Christmas to (my personal favorite) the Daruma Vendor.

Attractions

The big news this year is that Living With the Land has gotten a holiday overlay!! This is one of my family’s “heart attractions” – the things we ride and feel totally at peace, and like we’re really “here” in Walt Disney World. So seeing it get a little extra love for the holidays is pretty amazing.

You can see a full ride through of the overlay portion (basically the greenhouses) on my Instagram account’s IGTV section.

Merchandise

There’s so much great stuff coming for the holidays!! And it’s covered in Chip & Dale!!

From Festival merchandise…

To Frozen 2 goods…

And some special items for the AP holders.

I’m so incredibly excited for this Festival to get started so that we can dig in…
