Boma is Back Baby!! And here’s every single thing you’ll find on the dinner buffet.

There have been a lot of exciting reopenings at Walt Disney World over the last year plus. But I don’t think anything has gotten me nearly as excited since the reopening of the Parks themselves as this one: the reopening of Boma at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Far and away my favorite buffet at Walt Disney World

And it was reopening as an ACTUAL BUFFET!!

Needless to say I set my alarm for 6 a.m. on reservation-making day and booked dinner for day one.

We headed over last night for our opening day meal. And truth told, Boma couldn’t lose. If they hit it out of the park, we’ve leave starry eyed. And if they didn’t, I’d chalk it up to still needing to get the kinks out. Still, I’m glad to say….they hit it out of the park. It’s the next afternoon and I’m already itching to reach for my phone and see if we can grab it again this weekend.

We arrived at around 6:15pm and checked in right away. Our reservation wasn’t until 6:40 but they still had us seated in just a few minutes.

Here’s the rundown on everything:

Prices are very, very reasonable. Breakfast is $29 for adults and $17 for kids ages 3-9. Dinner is $49 for adults and $29 for kids ages 3-9. (Kids ages 2 and under eat free.)

Everything was absolutely delicious. Here’s the full rundown on what was on the buffet:

Spiced Pork Ribs

Tamarind Barbecue Sauce

Zebra Domes!!

Two Signature Drinks – This Rum Runner and a Margarita

Everything was phenomenal – my own personal favorites were all just personal taste. But for what it’s worth, on my short list of things I’d happily eat again right this second: the sweet corn pudding, potatoes, ribs, strip loin, black eyed peas & stewed tomatoes, chicken corn chowder, harira over basmati rice, banana bread pudding, passion fruit mousse, and, needless to say, zebra domes. So there!! I didn’t even plan it but there’s my top ten.

My one and only bit of bad news is that as of right now they do not have POG (aka Jungle) juice – the pineapple, orange, guava mix that’s so popular at restaurants like Tusker House, ‘Ohana, and, until now, Boma. Fingers crossed it’s back soon because my kids really look forward to their chances to have it.

But that said…this is still far and away one of the best dining spots on property and definitely deserved to be the very first proper buffet to reopen its doors.

Have you been to Boma before? Are you running there now that they’ve reopened??
