The Polite Pig at Disney Springs – Fall Menu Items

It’s no secret that the Polite Pig at Disney Springs is one of my favorite foodie spots on property. So I was there with bells on when they invited me to come and try their latest menu items for the fall!!

One of my favorite things about the Polite Pig is how – even with a menu as great as theirs – they’re not complacent. They’re always coming up with new things for the season and they’re always good.

So it’s no surprise that we’re seeing some awesome new options with the coming of the fall season…

For starters, there’s an amazing new salad called The Springs Spinach ($13) that includes spinach (of course), seasonal fruit, pecan granola, red onion, tomato, feta cheese, and sorghum vinaigrette. Like their other salads, you can also opt to add a protein to it for a heartier meal.

I loved how the flavors went together with this. I’m admittedly not usually a lover of spinach-based salads because they can be a little too soft, but there was so much other crunch and flavor that it was the perfect base. I’m definitely going to be getting this often this season.

Next up: The Smoked Chicken Salad Wrap ($11), spinach, roasted tomatoes, dried cherries, sunflower seeds, and avocado purée. I don’t think I need to add much commentary to that list of ingredients. This was lovely and such a nice light option in the late-summer/early-fall heat.

Next up: The Beef Short Rib ($23) with peppercorn-honey glaze.

You. Guys. ERMAGERD. This is basically what Fred Flinstone would have eaten if he was a foodie. This is the biggest rib I’ve ever been served and it was so. good.

Look how happy I look!! This thing is bigger than my face.

And you know it wouldn’t be a write up without a new beverage.

So here it is: The Apple Cider Whisky Sour ($11 or $27 for a pitcher). Rye whiskey, apple cider, lemon, brown sugar, and cinnamon. This thing pops. The perfect cold drink for a hot fall day. I could drink these things at 5-o’clock-somewhere anytime.

Of course if you don’t want one of these, you could always stick with my Bees Knees. Or a Vodka Lemonade – housemade lemonade and wheatley vodka. Or a Polite Punch – moonshine, blood orange, pineapple and cranberry.

There really are no losers here.

P.S. If you get there when they open, you just might score a Gideon’s Cookie. And they are nothing short of a religious experience.

So much gratitude to The Polite Pig for inviting me today so that I could share all of this goodness with you guys!!!

When is YOUR next visit to the Pig???
