Big news!! Verizon announced today that it would offer its customers a free year of Disney Plus, set to launch on November 12th!!
This offer is available to new and existing Verizon Wireless Unlimited customers, as well as new Fios Home Internet and new 5G Home Internet customers. It’s unclear how – if at all – this will interact with purchases of the service that have already been made.
This no doubt adds one more factor to the streaming service war as services from Disney Plus to Hulu to Netflix to Apple TV Plus will need to come out swinging – especially since those “all but negligible” monthly fees start to add up once you’ve signed up for half a dozen different services. Amirite??!
This isn’t the first Disney Plus deal to hit the market. As we all know, in August new and existing members of D23 were offered a three-year Disney Plus subscription for $47 a year (or $141 for three years), which was 33% off the normal yearly price.
Disney Plus will include classic Disney content and Marvel, Lucas Films and Pixar films, as well as lots of original movies and TV shows at launch.
What do you think? Will you be signed up for Disney Plus come November 12th? Is it a no brainer for you?? And will you benefit from this new Verizon offer?
