Setting runDisney aside, we’ve got more information from Disney Parks Blog this evening on Extra Magic Hours, the dining plan, and more.
To start, beginning October 1st (yes – THAT October 1st…) Disney will be rolling out new early theme park entry for Disney resort guests and other good neighbor hotels. These perks will be for every theme park, every day – so unlike the old Extra Magic Hours they won’t tend to focus crowds on a particular park each day.
This is an interesting change to make on October 1st – so for those of you planning a visit to the parks on the 50th, note that you will be able to get in a bit earlier if you have a Disney Resort (or good neighbor hotel) booked.
Also…and perhaps more controversially…starting in early October, guests staying at one of Disney’s Deluxe or Deluxe Villa (DVC) resorts will also be able to enjoy extended evening hours on certain nights in certain parks. So basically everyone staying on property gets a bit of extra time at every park every morning, and guests of Deluxe Resorts will get a more traditional EMH experience in the evenings.
Disney pals will also continue to visit the resorts – but now in their EARidescent best!!
And last but not least….Disney dining plan packages *will* return eventually. They aren’t giving us timing yet, but it’s good to know that this preferred method for so many travelers will be back at some point.
And in the meantime more and more dining options are opening up, especially at the resorts. I had to laugh when DPB had a laugh at itself and specially called out ‘Ohana – and their noodles!!
