Typhoon Lagoon H2O Glow After Hours

H2O Glow Nights are back at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon this summer and I couldn’t be more excited. I was a huge fan of these events last year and the offerings this year only have me more on board. (Pun intended.)

The event runs 25 evenings this summer between now and August 24th and tickets are generally $59/each with certain discounts available. I was lucky enough to attend the opening party for the event put on by Disney Parks Blog last week and spent the entire time running around getting the scoop for you guys.

The Details

The event is happening on 25 evenings between now and August 24th, from 8-11pm. Tickets are generally $59 for ages 10+ and $54 for children aged 3-9. You’ll get a discount if you’re an Annual Passholder or DVC member.

The Food

One of the big differences this year is the extent of the menu options. Disney Parks Blog put out a foodie guide before the event that looked amazing and it definitely delivered in person.

I heard the Cuban Burger and Western Beef Brisket were both fantastic but opted for the Fish Out of Water myself.

Beyond impressed. This is so NOT your mother’s waterpark food. The fish was fantastic and the coconut rice and tomato relish were light and perfect for a hot night at Typhoon Lagoon.

The Drinks

They’re offering so many specialty drinks on top of their usual menus throughout the park. These Disco Floats – and the Bathtub Party Sundae! – are over by the Leaning Palm. If you want some kid-free time, you can also hit up the adults’-only Wharf area and sample one of these beauties.

The Entertainment

The centerpiece of the event is absolutely the ongoing dance party on the beach by the Surf Pool. From dancing to party games…this area will suck you in whether you’re adults only or with your kids.

The Characters

You guys!! The Toy Story 4 crew is here. You’ll get to meet Woody and Jessie near Typoon Tilly’s.

And Buzz near Crush ‘n’ Gusher.

And then over near Ketchakiddee Creek?? It’s none other than Forky!!

I’ve gotta admit. He’s kinda growing on me.

The Attractions

This part is easy – you’re walking on everything and seeing it in a whole new nighttime glow. And if you’re in the lazy river, you might just see some fun new floats.

If you haven’t already guessed, I’m all in for H2O Glow Night’s more than ever this year. Have you been yet?? Are they in your plans for summer 2019??
