  • Location: Along Seven Seas Lagoon from the far end of Poly to the opposite far end of the Grand Floridian.

You’ll basically run or walk from the Moorea building at Poly (that’s the one on the water closest to the Ticket and Transportation Center) past the bungalows, Poly’s pool, and the marina, through the path between the Fiji and Tuvalu buildings, then on to the Grand Floridian. There you’ll continue along the water past the wedding pavilion and Grand Floridian’s pool, ending at the lighthouse sculpture, before heading back. (This sounds much more complicated than it is. It’s basically just the straightest path available from Poly to the Grand Floridian by Seven Seas Lagoon.)

  • Distance: 2+ Miles

The official running trail between Poly and the Grand Floridian is listed as 1.8 miles – but I don’t like to spend my runs deciphering resort maps, so I just run up and back along the water and add loops and meander the grounds at Poly if I want to add extra distance. The path along the water from the far end of Poly near the Ticket and Transportation Center at the Moorea building, over to the far end of the Grand Floridian, and back again is just about 2 miles. You can easily add mileage by winding around between buildings at Poly.

  • Pro Hack: Bring your own water on this trail because you won’t find much along the way on the path itself and you’re generally in full sun if it’s daylight outside.

But more importantly, after your run or walk, you can relax somewhere like this….

with (if they’re open yet) a Dole Whip from the Pineapple Lanai or a Rose Gold Margarita from the Barefoot Pool Bar.

  • Fun Facts: As you run this path, you’ll be able to hear the transition in resort music from Poly’s island tunes to the Grand Floridian’s old fashioned tracks.

And if you look down while you’re running by the wedding pavilion at the Grand Floridian, you’ll see that the path is paved with bricks much like outside the Magic Kingdom – but here they each honor a couple that tied the knot at Walt Disney World!!
